Bärbel Reinhard

Bärbel Reinhard, born in Stuttgart, lives and works in Tuscany. After graduating in art history and sociology in Berlin, she obtained a diploma in professional photography from the Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence.

Her work has been exhibited in various shows both in Italy and abroad, including the European Month of Photography Luxembourg, Villa La Pietra Florence, Metronom Gallery, and the Fondazione Fotografia in Modena, Luova Gallery Helsinki, the Brunelleschi Corridor, and the Photo Marseille Festival. Since 2023 she is part of Futures Photography.

Alongside her artistic research, she works as a freelance photographer, teacher, and curator.
She has taught at New York University, Sarah Lawrence College, Kent State University, University of California, University of Minnesota and Stanford in Florence. She is academic coordinator of IFC.

She has curated several exhibition and editorial projects, including the Mario Carnicelli archive, also through international collaborations.
