A hands-on class to understand the use of the most common equipment in architectural photography, such as cameras, lenses and accessories.
The View Camera: Decentering and tilt-shift
Insight into the use of the view camera and its advanced features to correct perspective distortions and obtain technically perfect images.
History of architectural photography
Introduction to the history and evolution of photography in architecture, with a focus on how images have influenced the perception of built spaces.
Shooting: Outdoor shots
Hands-on session in urban landscape photography, with tips on how make the most of the light. Focus on artistic and technical interpretation of architectural works through the photographic lens.
Postproduction
Introduction to postproduction techniques to optimize images and enhance architectural details.

SUMMER COURSE – VISUAL STORYTELLING AND THE TERRITORY
Along the way:

Develop a photographic project idea and proposal from a specific theme

Exploring different languages of photography, from reportage to visual storytelling

Analyze projects of contemporary photographers to understand narrative and visual strategies

Constructing a coherent photographic narrative through images

Select and do editing of their own photographs to strengthen the project

Organize the sequence of images to give rhythm and structure to the story

Critically reflect on one’s own work through discussion and feedback sessions

Prepare and present a final photographic project, leading up to a public exhibition
