Milo Montelli was born in 1982 in Jesi, Italy, where he currently lives and works.
During his studies in Cognitive Behavioral Psychology, he approached photography as a self-taught.
His photographic research has been exhibited in international galleries and photo festivals.
In February 2014 he founded SKINNERBOOX, an independent publishing house focused on contemporary photography. Since 2015, most of the books in its catalog have been nominated as best photography books of the year and selected in the main international potobooks award.
In 2018 Skinnerboox was named best publisher of the year by PhotoEspana. Currently, the catalog consists of about 50 titles, both by emerging and established artists in the field of photography.
