
Marco Signorini, lives and works in Florence. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, he works in photography as an author, curator and lecturer.
He has exhibited at Galerie Magda Danysz in Paris (2002), Fotomuseum in Winterthur (2005), SK Stiftung Kultur in Kohln (2006) and Centre d’Art Ville Nei Liicht in Dudelange (2012). In Italy he has exhibited at Fotografia Europea (2009), Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea in Cinisello Balsamo (2002-2004-2011), Triennale di Milano (2013-2014) and Premio Francesco Fabbri per le Arti Contemporanee (2013), Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome (2023), as well as solo shows at Galleria Forni in Bologna and Galleria Manzoni in Bergamo (2008), Centro Culturale Livia Bottardi Milani in Pegognaga (2013), and METRONOM Modena (2009-2016). In 2011 he participated in the 54th Venice Art Biennale, Italy/Tuscany Pavilion at the Luigi Pecci Art Center in Prato.
He is among the artists of Imago Mundi-Praestigium Italia in the collection of Luciano Benetton (2015). He publishes “Echo” (2007) and “EarthHeart” (2001) both with Damiani Editore of Bologna. He curates the Focus on Italy series publishing for Verbavolant artist books (2011) with unpublished images by Ghirri, Barbieri, Basilico and Cresci. Since 2013 he has been pursuing the Anagram project, a process of image production using software and algorithms.
