After his BFA in photography from New York – School of Visual Arts, Leonardo Pellegatta devoted himself to the world of theater, experimental film, documentary and fashion photography.
After the Tokyo interlude (where he lived for 15 years) he returned to Italy, devoting himself not only to his career as a professional photographer and filmmaker but also to his career as a teacher.
His work has been published in international exhibitions and festivals such as: Hors Pistes Festival, Centre Pompidou, Paris (2011), Sound, Art & Performance – Experimental Festival, Tokyo Wonder Site (2012), Biwako Biennale (2017) and several editions of KG+ Kyotographie photo festival, in Kyoto. In fashion, however, he has collaborated with Acne, Malo, Plan C, Woolrich, Edwina Hoerl and Shiseido.
