
Alisa Martynova moved to Italy after finishing her studies in Foreign Philology in Russia.
In 2019, she graduated from the three-year Photography and New Media course at Fondazione Studio Marangoni while working as an assistant to the Riverboom collective.
Her thesis project ‘Nowhere Near’ secured her numerous nominations and awards, including the most recent runner-up in the Portraits Series category at World Press Photo 2021.
Works related to her research have been shown in numerous exhibitions of international significance, such as PhotoBrussels 05, Young Italian Photography, Planches Contact and Cortona On The Move. She currently lives and works in Florence as a freelance photographer and is a fellow member of the Parallelo Zero agency.
