Fondazione Studio Marangoni ETS is a non-profit international center dedicated to contemporary photography, based in the heart of Florence, Italy.

Since 1992, FSM has been promoting and disseminating photographic art through photography courses, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, awards and scholarships supporting emerging artists from around the world.

Promotion of training at all levels

Fondazione Studio Marangoni promotes education in contemporary photography through programs open to beginners, enthusiasts and professionals. Educational activities, conducted in both Italian and English, foster cultural exchange among participants from all over the world, creating an international and creative environment.

The venue, located in the vibrant San Lorenzo district in the historic center of Florence, offers a unique environment where history, art and culture intertwine, making each educational experience rich in stimulation and opportunities for growth.

Collaborations with Universities and International Institutions

From 1992 to the present, FSM has developed training programs in collaboration with such prestigious institutions as Stanford University, Studio Arts Centre International, Polimoda, Pratt Institute, Sarah Lawrence College, New York University, Province of Florence and University of Florence.

A Bridge Between Cultures and Visual Arts

FSM’s mission is to unite photography, art and culture in high-level artistic and educational projects.

The goal is to encourage the meeting of cultures and compare with major European capitals in the visual arts scene.

Exhibitions and Promotion of Emerging Artists

Thanks to numerous national and international collaborations, FSM has produced a rich exhibition program with a focus on promoting young photographers.

Partners include the City of Florence, City of Fiesole, Milan Triennale, Mois Européen de la Photographie Luxembourg, Month of Photography Bratislava, Festival del Viaggio, FNAC, Mondriaan Foundation, Goethe Institut, Instituto Cervantes, Michelucci Foundation, Institut Français Florence, British Council, Uffizi Gallery, Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, Opificio delle Pietre Dure.
