In 2005, he completed the three-year program at the Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence. Since 2004, he has developed a keen interest in the realities of South America, focusing particularly on countries associated with the new Latin American socialism, such as Venezuela, Bolivia, and Ecuador. In 2006, he co-founded the TerraProject collective with four other photographers, focusing on social and geographical issues in Italy and producing collaborative documentary photography projects.
His work has been exhibited both in Italy and abroad, and he collaborates as a freelance photographer with numerous Italian and international magazines. In 2012, his project Bolivianas was awarded the second prize in the Stories category for Daily Life at the World Press Photo competition.
